On the Blazer forum that I am a member of had a thread regarding Chevrolet's problem with there handles breaking off. I was curious as what it took to replace the whole actuator assembly and if any one had done it before.
Low and behold someone had found a website for a repair that didn't involve removing the seat. The set screw is designed to tighten down into the grove cut in the shaft. Offering a firmer hold.
It sticks out a hair further then the other handle, but works beautifully. Thought I would give it a try, if it holds- saved some $.
Oh and Cassandra was helping me.
